ABOUT
JIE-AE SOHN is a communicator who has transcended the boundaries of journalism, public diplomacy, and global communication, connecting Korea and the world. As CNN’s Seoul bureau chief, she led international reporting for 15 years and served as the spokesperson for the 2010 G20 Seoul Summit and the Presidential Secretary for Overseas Public Relations, conveying the voice of the Republic of Korea to the world. Afterwards, as the CEO of Arirang TV and Radio, she contributed to promoting Korean culture and policies to 188 countries. She is currently a visiting professor at Ewha Womans University’s Graduate School of International Studies, where she focuses on global communication, international development cooperation, and leadership education. Based on her philosophy of “immersion toward oneself, empathy toward others, and responsibility toward the world,” she explores what it means to live as a genuine global citizen and leader. Even now, she fosters leadership that deeply understands the world and creates better connections.
